On the Relationship of Cultural Studies and Translation Studies

With cultural globalization as the background,and together with the appearance and prevalence of cultural studies,cultural turn begins to come up in translation studies.Translation studies will no longer be confined to the comparison of mere words and the two systems of the original works and the translated works.Translation studies turn to discuss and analyze the social and cultural factors which cause the differences between the translated works and the original works.To the problem of cultural turn,we had better take the dialectical attitude;and with an open and communicative cultural attitude,we could focus on the translation studies from the viewpoint of cultural studies and promote the development of translation studies.
