Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy, safety and economic practicality of using a single catheter for radiofrequency catheter ablation on monomorphic ventricular premature contraction and ventricular tachycardia from right ventricular outflow tract.Methods:62 patients who had monomorphic ventricular premature contraction and 18 cases with ventricular tachycardia, from right ventricular outflow tract, all without abnormal cardiac structure, were respectively given a single catheter for radiofrequency catheter ablation.Using pace mapping method, the target points of ablation were the same pacing ventricular wave forms as ventricular tachycardia and monomorphic ventricular premature. Results:Immediate success rate of ablation was about 93%(75/80),another five cases achieved ablation success at last under three-dimensional mapping system of CATO.Comparison the number of ventricular premature contraction before and after radiofrequency catheter ablation, were 14563 ± 2453 times/24 hours to 586 ± 158 times/24 hours by Holter recording.Intraoperative, one person broke out cardiac tamponade, and disappeared after puncture and catheter drainage. There were 5 recurrence cases in follow-up period, and again achieved success by given a single-catheter ablation. Conclusions:The method of single-catheter for radiofrequency catheter ablation could effectively and safely treat normal cardiac structure patients with the monomorphic ventricular premature contraction and ventricular tachycardia from right ventricular outflow tract. It could be choosed to treat the patients with severe symptoms, drugs ineffectively and who could not be tolerated drug treatment. This method had short operative time, few complications, cost savings, and was easy to master.
