Westernization Campaign and Late Qing Dynasty's Politics

Late Qing dynasty Government took Westernization Campaign as national policy for a long time.The thriving and recession of Westernization thinking has close relationship with its politics.The political situation of this period has already changed from dangerous status to safe due to the westernization thinking.The failure of Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 and Westernization Campaign forced the Qing dynasty to face the new crisis.Westernization thinking which aimed to save feudal lords couldn't accompany with the trend of the times.The social changes from medieval feudal society to modern capitalism is an objective law for worldwide development,it will not be changed by people's individual will.
