Study of High-resolution Ultrasonography in the Diagnosis of Radial Nerve Lesions

Abstract
Purpose:To evaluate the value of ultrasonography in diagnosis of radial nerve lesions.Methods:Thirty-one patients with clinical radial nerve lesions were examined with ultrasonography.The lesions were located and classified.The diagnostic accurate rate with sonography was calculated when compared with intraoperative findings.Results:The radial nerve lesions were classified into disruption,compressions and adhesions,nerve tumors,viral neuritis and sutured nerves.The diagnostic accurate rate with ultrasonography was 80.6%.Conclusion:Ultrasonography can locate and classify the radial nerve lesions,which may offer important information for diagnosis and treatment.
