Abstract
The influence of shock absorber's damping ratio on ride in a 2 DOF model is studied, for the purpose of finding out the best relative damping coefficients.According to the differential equations of the system,a nonlinear suspension system model with zero mean white noise velocity input is built with Simulink. The numerical response matrixes of the system are obtained by repeat of simulation. The ride indexes are calculated and plotted, aim at showing the influence of damping ratio on ride. Then we can determine damping ratios easily.
