An Analysis of the Occupation of China's Nansha Islands and Xisha Islands by South Vietnam

Abstract

Aiming to obtain more interests and supported by France and USA,South Vietnam tried every political,legal and other means to occupy gradually China's Nansha Islands and Xisha Islands,which has been inherited by Vietnam now.The theories and practice adopted by Vietnam while arguing with China are partly an inheritance from South Vietnam and the so-called evidences given by Vietnamese scholars do not hold water.Thus,it is necessary for us to study in detail the occupation of China's Nansha Islands and Xisha Islands by Vietnam and disclose the truth of that history.
