Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between test anxiety and academic record in senior high school students,and to provide evidence for the prevention of test anxiety.Methods Five hundred and thirty-eight senior high school students were investigated by Test Anxiety Scale(TAS) in Shandong.The group classification was according to the students' degrees of academic records assessed by their class master.Results The incidence of test anxiety was 65.2%.There was statistical significance of test anxiety among the top students,average students and the students with poor academic records(P0.05).The results of boys and science students were similar to the general,while the prevalence of test anxiety among girls and arts students was not significantly different between groups(P0.05).The prevalence of test anxiety was significantly negatively related to the academic score(P0.001).The results of boys and science students were similar to the population,while the prevalence of test anxiety among girls and arts students was not significantly related to the academic score(P0.05).Conclusion Test anxiety is common and it is related to academic record in senior high school students.The boys and science students have a closer relationship than girls and arts students with academic record.
