On the Literary Space in Wang Meng's Novels

This paper examines the literary space and its nature displayed in Wang Meng's novels, and explores how Wang Meng applies the method of stream of consciousness and other new techniques to his literary creation, deconstructing the cause-and-effect relationship in action and restoring time into space. The paper holds that Wang Meng tries his best to avoid conventional narrative structure. It also comments on some archetypes in Wang Meng's novels, reveals the uniqueness of Wang Meng's novels, reexamines and re-evaluates the artistic features of his works.
