Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the prevalence of satisfaction of basic public health service projects in community residents, to analyze current problems occurred in the implementation of basic public health service project in urban community health service centers, to throw out suggestions, to provide the references for implementation of basic public health service in the future. METHOD The typical sampling method is applied in this research. According to the geographical distribution, 5 cities from East Guangdong,West Guangdong, North Guangdong and Middle of Guangdong were selected. Totally ten community health centers were randomly selected from different parts of Guangdong province, and the satisfaction of the basic public health service of the residents was surveyed using questionnaire. RESULTS The satisfaction is 80.9% in 514 residents who received basic public health service. The satisfaction is different in residents in different districts. The satisfaction is found higher in economic development districts(Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhaoqing) than that in economic under-development districts(Shaoguan, Heyuan). The satisfaction for every basic public health service project are over 65.0%.CONCLUSION The satisfaction of basic public health service project is high in community residents in the Guangdong Province, indicating that the basic health service project has accomplished certain achievement. However, development unbalances were found in different districts and different projects, for example the holergasia patients management. It is recommended that such problems be tackled by strengthening the responsibility of the government and enhancing the awareness of the basic public health service e as well as the cooperation between correlative departments.
