Abstract
The practical significance of hydrogen production by methanol reforming for fuel cell is reviewed. The methanol reforming process and the composition of the methanol reformer are especially discussed. A typical methanol reformer for fuel cell electric vehicle is usually made up of a raw material supplied unit, a methanol reforming unit, a heat cycle unit and a gas cleaning-up unit. The research and development status of each part of the methanol reformer is described in details. Moreover, the state-of-art of RD of methanol reformer is summarized.
