Abstract
Objective: To investigate inpatients' satisfaction with nursing service, using inpatients' perceived quality to reflect the weakness in nursing service, and provide reference to promote the quality of nursing care. Methods: The questionnaire of patient satisfaction with nursing service was used, and 199 inpatients in 4 hospitals were investigated. Results: The average inpatients' satisfaction was 9.400± 0.997, and the satisfaction of patients in the department of internal medicine and ICU was higher than those in surgical department; for the nursing service implementation, the item of nurse-patient communication got the highest score, and the item of medication instruction got the lowest score, while there was the strongest correlation between the implementation of medication instruction and patients' satisfaction. Conclusions: Nursing managers should pay more attention to nursing service implementation degree and its guidance function to the quality of nursing care, and correct the weaknesses in nursing services timely in order to continuously improve the quality of care, and increase patient satisfaction.
