Chinese Scholars’ Exploration of the Connotation of Chinese National Spirit since the Reform and Opening up

There are many divergent opinions on explorations of the connotation of Chinese national spirit since the reform and opening up, most mainland scholars interpret the connotation of Chinese national spirit from Confucian culture, Taoist culture, Buddhist culture, legalism culture, Mohism culture and so on. The connotation of Chinese national spirit is a dynamic theoretical form of multi-dimensional coexistence, of which about patriotism, the spirit of self-improvement, generous spirit and people-oriented spirit are the consensus theory of scholars. The exploration of the connotation of Chinese national spirit can contribute to researching the theory of Chinese national spirit, carrying forward and cultivating the national spirit in new period, and help to promote the construction of socialist core value system and the innovation of cultural inheritance, which will enhance the cultural consciousness, cultural confidence and cultural self-improvement.
