Abstract
Objective The purpose of the present study is to compare the clinical effects and subjective pain of VectorTM-system on chronic periodontitis. Methods Selected 30 cases of periodontitis patients. On each patient, select a single jaw using VectorTM-system(experimental group), another single jaw using conventional ultrasonic instrument(control group) as a control. Examining bleeding index and probing depth before the first visit treatment,initiated therapy after three months. Evaluating VAS score after treatment. Results Both PD and BI were significantly decreased before and after treatment in two groups, there was statistical significance(P0.05).But there was not statistical significance between two groups(P0.05). Experimental group and control group VAS values were respectvely 10.80±2.75 and 39.23±2.46, there was statistical significance(P 0.05). Conclusion Getting the same effect on treating chronic periodontitis between VectorTMsystem and traditional ultrasound therapy device, but there is less pain in VectorTM-system
