Abstract
It is well known that circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler has many merits, such as high efficiency?low pollution, flexibility for kinds of coal. In China, the CFB boiler has been developed very well. But now domestic CFB boilers generally have some problems, such as the carbon content in fly ash is high and the combustion efficiency can't reach the designed value. In this article the main influencing factors of the carbon content in fly ash were generalized, such as the kind of coal, the diameter of articles and the running condition of the circulating system. In the article the reasons of the high carbon content in fly ash of the running CFB boilers and the main questions were investigated, and some methods of reducing the carbon content in fly ash and increasing the combustion efficiency were brought forward.
