Abstract
The histologic structure of optic lobe in newhatching A.Sinesis was studied by microscope. From dorsal to ventral, the optic lobe can be divided into two parts: tectum and tegmentum, there is no distinct boundary between them, but the cell organization of them is different. From lateral to medial, tectum include eight layers: stratum zonale, outer gray layer or stratum cinereum, superficial white layer or stratum opticum, middle gray layer, middle white layer, deep gray layer, deep white layer and central gray substance. The anterior of tegmentum organization is same as tectum, but the middle and posterior of tegmentum organization is different from tectum. Neurocytes lie mostly in gray layers, there are a few small cells scatter in stratum zonale, out white layer, middle white layer and deep white layer. The shape of optic lobe ventriculus is different from the anterior to the posterior of optic lobe. The characters of optic lobe in A. Sinensis were discussed and were compared with other vertebrate animals.
