Abstract
English teaching in non-English majors of higher vocational colleges should be in accordance with the teaching objective of higher vocational education and should take into account the characteristics of the students. It should adhere to the second language acquisition theory, and advocate the student-centered teaching model so as to create a good English learning environment and achieve the goal of communicating in English.
