The Creative Treason of Style in Translation

On the one hand,the similar understanding of the world makes it possible to conduct translation,and on the other hand,nationality-specified language forms and language skills make translation a tough job,and researches on translation carry great weight.We cannot prescribe how to translate or how the source text is translated with no involvement of its style.How to transplant the nationality-specified even writer-specified style in translation is the main concern of the writing.It proposes that this problem be solved by means of creative treason.In the writing,creative treason of style can be defined as the objective treason of the language forms and skills of source text committed by the translator who persistently tries to replicate the uniqueness and reproduce the power of the style of the source text in a macro way.The horizon of expectation is another cause to make the creative treason of style take place besides the individuality of the language and culture of every nation.Aesthetical distance puts the limitations on creative treason.
