Abstract

Durimg the founding of the People's Republic of China,Seeking of Modemicty had become the mainstream of China's architecture But under the policy oflean to one side,the ncursion of the Soviet theory and method of Socialist Realism interrupted its development.This paper discusses various slogans related to the Socialist Realism,the transmission of the theory,and Liang Sicheng's interpretation to China's practice Finally it concludes with the influence of Socialist Realism on China's architecture.
