Abstract
In this paper, the analysis and research of the lines design feature for ocean engineering ships, especially for tug, salvage and standby ship, that are in demand in recent market, are carried out. A selective range of some principal dimensions and relative parameters are provided for reference. Meanwhile, the analysis and comparison of ship model test results for different bow form and with or without duct indicate that ship type and propulsion form should be adopted according to different function and application demand of ocean engineering ship. Thus the seagoing performance may be improved furthest and the function of application more reasonable.
