On the Influence of Pre-Tang Cultural Transformation on Novels

The ancient Chinese novel kept changing with the development of history and culture.As the culture at the various historical stages had different characteristics,the novels at these stages also took on their own distinctive characteristics.The Chinese nation in the pre-Tang period underwent several cultural transformations of the primitive religious culture,divinate religious culture,historiographer culture,Confucian culture and Buddhist metaphysical culture,thus exerting important and far-reaching influence on pre-Tang novels.
