Changes of peripheral blood helper T cell in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome

Objective To investigate the changes of Peripheral Blood Helper T cell in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods Based on apnea hypopnea index(AHI) measured by polysomnography,60 patients with OSAHS were divided into mild OSAHS group(L,18 cases),moderate OSAHS group(M,22 cases) and severe OSAHS group(H,20 cases).20 healthy subjects with matched age,gender and body mass index were selected as control.The ratio of Th1 and Th2 in peripheral blood was detected by flow cyt ometry.Results The ratio of Th1 in patients with OSAHS was higher than it in control group[(18.2±5.4)% vs(12.5±3.8)%,P0.05)],The ratio of Th1 in group H increased sharply[group H vs control(21.8±4.6)% vs(12.5±3.8)%,P0.01)].The ratio of Th1 positively correlated to AHI(r=0.668,P0.01).There were no difference of the ratio of Th2 in each group.Conclusion The ratio of Th1 is significantly increased in OSAHS patients,which is associated with the severity of OSAHS.
