On Innovative Education and Training of Innovative Talented Students

Abstract

In macroscopic perspective (the development of the country and nation), innovative education embodies the requirements of the era of knowledge economy; in mediumscopic perspective (higher engineering education itself), innovative education reflects the basic functions and essence of higher education; and in microscopic perspective (individual development), innovative education can promote the creative development of individuals. Therefore, in the 21st century, innovative education must be implemented to cultivate a large number of innovative talented students who master science and technology. On the other hand, the present higher engineering education is no good to the cultivation of innovative talents. Hence, there are three aspects to strengthening innovative education and cultivating innovative talented students in engineering, namely, changing educational thoughts, structuring new cultivating models, and making better the environment where innovative talented students can develop positively.
