Zhang Taiyan's Notion of Folk Literature

Zhang Taiyan was a famous bourgeoisie-democratic revolutionist and thinker in modern China.One important side of his nationalist thought is culture,based on which he studied folk literature such as epics,myths,folktales,etc,emphasized the meaning and function of folk literature,and created the writing style by using the form of folk literature.His research on folk literature belongs to pre-discipline and doesn't develop into a whole thinking system,but his notion of folk literature has a profound impact on the academic history of 20~(th) century Chinese folk literature.
