The significance of treadmill exercise test in evaluation of the stenosis of coronary artery

Objective:To study the value of treadmill exercise test(TET) in evaluating the severity of coronary artery stenosis.Methods:The results of TET were analyzed in 98 suspected patients with coronary artery disease. All patients have undergone coronary angiography(CAG).Results:The comparative study showed that the sensitivity of TET was 83.1%,specificity 69.2% and accuracy 77.6%. The deeper ST depression,the longer duration of ST depression and more lower the systolic blood pressure(SBP) lower during TET in patients,the more severe the stenosis of coronary artery. Furthermore,the larger number of the lead with ST depression larger and the slower the maximum heart rate slower during TET in patients the more extensive stenosis of coronary artery.Conclusion:TET can evaluate the severity and the range of coronary artery stenosis and may be used as another diagnostic aid.
