Effects of different additives on high temperature composting of cow dung

In order to study the effects of different additives on high temperature composting of cow dung,the high temperature composting of cow dung added with different additives under an aerobic fermentation was carried out.The results showed that the downtrend of water content and E4/E6 of the treatments added with additives were both higher than those of control,and the time of reaching high temperature were shorten,the high temperature maintenance time were longer,seed germination index were higher than control,and met to the harmless requirements.Among all the treatments,the treatment added with corn straw and microorganism agents had the best effects,the temperature of which increased rapidly to 50 ℃ on the second day,high temperature maintained 28 days,the maximum temperature reached to 66.7 ℃,at the end of the composting,the compost's pH value was 7.91,E4/E6 was 1.59,the seed germination index was 98.93%,the compost rotten fast and the process of composting was accelerated.
