Abstract

Objective:To explore the expression of cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) and vascular endothelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C) in gastric cancer. Methods:The real-time fluorescence quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(FQ-RT-PCR) was used to determine the expression of COX-2 and VECF-C mRNA in 87 tissue samples of gastric cancer. Results:The expression of COX-2 and VEGF-C were 62.07%(54/87),60.92%(53/87) respectively in 87 gastric cancer specimem. The expression of COX-2 and VEGF-C mRNA were significantly with tumor invasion,TNM stage, lymphatic metastasis(P0.05),the expression of COX-2 and VEGF-C mRNA were not significantly correlated with gender and tumor differentiation(P0.05).Conclusion:The expression of COX-2 and VEGF-C mRNA is associated with tumor invasion,TNM stage, lymphatic metastasis.
