Abstract

Objective To investigate the characteristics of adverse drug reactions (ADR) occurred in our hospital. Methods A total of 224 ADR cases collected from Jan 2007 to Dec 2009 in our hospital were analyzed statistically in respect of patients of gender and age, routes of administration, drug category,ADR-involved organs or systems and clinical manifestations, etc. Results Over 60 year-old patient ADR formation rate is highest (accounts for 34.82%),82.59% of the ADR were administered by intravenous drip, and most were associated with anti-infective drugs,The ADR manifested predominantly as lesions of skin and its appendants. Conclusion Rational drug use and ADR monitoring should be strengthened to reduce or avoid the occurrence of ADR.
