Abstract
The synthesis of butyl benzoate with ferric trichloride as catalyst was studied. The effects of reaction parameters were investigated and the optimum conditions were determined as follows: the molar ratio of benzoic acid to butanol 1∶3.0,the molar ratio of catalyst to benzoic acid was 0.04∶1,the reaction time was 2.0 h,and the yield of butyl benzoate was about 90%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
