Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical significance of combined detection of serum tumor markers carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 125(CA-125),carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA-19-9),Cyfra 21-1 and neuron-specific enolase(NSE) of improve in diagnosis of lung carcinoma. Methods The levels of serum CEA,CA-125,CA-19-9,Cyfra 21-1 and NSE were detected with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in 80 cases of lung cancer(lung cancer group),20 cases of benign lung disease(benign lung disease group),as well as 20 cases of check human(normal control group). Results The levels of CEA,CA-125,CA-19-9,Cyfra 21-1 and NSE in lung cancer group were significantly higher than those in the benign lung disease group and in normal control group(all P0.01).The sensitivity and specificity of five-tumor-marker-combined detection were higher than those in single-marker detection(P0.05).Conclusion The serum CEA,CA-125,CA-19-9,Cyfra21-1 and NSE levels are of high auxiliary value in diagnosis of lung cancer. The combined detection of five tumor markers can significantly increase the sensitivity and specificity in lung cancer diagnosis.
