Abstract
The graft copolymerization of acrylic acid onto hydrogenated polystyrenebutadienestyrene copolymer(SEBS) was performed by benzoylperoxide(BPO) as initiator in toluene solution. The results show that acrylic acid is successfully grafted onto the SEBS backbone by using the infrared spectra and ESCA. The influences of reaction temperature, reaction time, concentration of BPO, concentration of monomer, on monomer conversion, grafting degree and grafting efficiency were investigated.
