Expression and relationship among CD44V6, p16 and PCNA in gastric mucosal lesions with Helicobacter pylori infection

Objective To study the expression and relationship among CD44V6,p16 and PCNA in gastric mucosal lesions with HP infection. Methods Expression of CD44V6,p16 and PCNA were investigated in 114 gastric mucosal lesions by use of immunohistochemistry.HP was examined by both Warthin -Starry method and RUT. Ruselts Comparing HP positive group (P0.01) with HP negative group in gastric mucosal lesions,The expression of p16 in HP positive group were lower (P0.01);the expression of CD44V6 and PCNA in HP positive group was higher (P0.05). The expression of p16 were significantly correlated with the expression of CD44V6 ingastric mucosal lesions with HP infection(r s=-0.697 1,P0.01); the expression of p16 were correlated significantly with the expression of PCNA in gastric mucosal lesions with HP infection,too(r s=-0.607 5,P0.01); the expression of CD44V6 were correlated significantly with expression of PCNA in gastric mucosal lesions with HP infection (r s=0.479 9,P0.01). Conclusions The expression of p16,CD44V6 and PCNA plaed an important role in gastric mucosal lesions. It may be a mlaignant transformation from pre-carcinoma to cancer in HP positive patients.HP infection directly or in directly promotes the expression of CD44V6 and PCNA,and suppresses the expression of p16.Because of HP infection,the expression of CD44V6,p16 and PCNA were correlated with each other.
