Community Cohesion and Urban Community Development

Community is a social cell,and community development is the foundation of social development.China's long-standing system of units makes the majority of community residents have no sense of belonging to the community,but their work units.With China's economic system transformation,the residents are belonging to society and community gradually from their units.But now China's urban community development lacks motivation,residents' participation passion is not high,which seriously hinders the its further development.The paper describes briefly the role of community cohesion on the community development,and on this basis,carries on a preliminary exploration on how to enhance the community cohesion from meeting the needs of residents,promoting community participation and the establishment of early warning mechanisms.
