Abstract
Objective:Explore the changes of the level of estrogen receptor in ovariectomized osteoporosis rats and the regulation of tonifying kidney recipes. Methods:The SD rats were ovariectomized and administrated tonifying kidney recipe and estrogen for 12 weeks. The ER protein was assessed by immunohistochemical and the expression of ER mRNA of bone was semi quantified by RT-PCR. Results: The bone mineral density, E\-2 and the expression of ER of the ovariectonized rats are decreased significantly and that of the rats herb treated did not decreased. Conclusion:Tonifying kidney recipe can treat the ovariectonized rat osteoporosis,it's partial mechanism effect was that it not only has solt estrogen like effect but also can up regulate the expression of ER not only in protein protein but also in mRNA level.
