On the Usage of Affix “Zi” in Chengdu Luodai Hakka Dialect

Abstract
The affix Zi is very active in the Luo dai Hakka dialect.This article mainly discusses the usage of the affix Zi in nouns,adjectives and quantifiers.It finds out that many nouns,formed with the affix Zi,are quite different from those in mandarin,which may obviously embodies the meaning of small name.In the formation of adjectives,Zi is used as affix to enliven the expression,even a little bit excessive in meaning,showing the additional color of fondness or discontentment.Used as a quantifier,Zi refers to small quantity.
