Discussion on the Relationship between ZI and WORD:Advantages and Disadvantages of ZI-based Theory

ZI is the core of Chinese traditional linguistics,but ZI and its research are increasingly marginalized with the introduction of western linguistics. Mr. Xu Tongqiang's ZI-based theory helps to completely reverse this situation. ZI-based theory manages to avoid the segmentation dilemma of MORPHEME or WORD,but simply denies the existence of WORD in Chinese. As the basic structure unit of Chinese,ZI( one syllable expresses one meaning) can construct WORD( two syllables or more syllables express one meaning) by two ways of phonetics and semantics.
