Abstract

Ecologically important values of the 38 woody plants in 38 plots,Mount Bei of Jinhua,Zhejiang Province were surveyed. The woody plant communities were studied by using the method of detrended correspondence analysis(DCA).The results showed:there are 11 associations in Mount Bei of Jinhua, which are Pinus taiwanensis Association,Pinus massoniana Association,Castanea hennyi+Schima superba+Pinus massoniana Association,Schima superba+Castanopsis derophylla Association,Pinus massoniana+Schima superba Association,Liquidambar formosana+Pinus massoniana Association,Liquidambar formosana Association,Cinnamomum camphora Association,Pinus massoniana+Quercus dlandulifera+Phodedendron sinsii+Schima superba Association,Schima superba+Pinus massoniana Association, and Pinus massoniana+Pinus taiwanensis Association. The relationship between these associations with their environments were discussed and their Shannon indices of species diversity were also calculated.
