In recent years,the speed of soil and water loss management in the Yellow River basin has quickened and produced a lot of good experience.At present,we are faced with a rare development opportunity and also faced with a severe challenge.In the near future,we should put our emphasis on the aspects of man-made soil and water loss control,comprehensive management of severe soil and water loss area,establishment of monitoring system and information management system of soil and water loss,scientific research and technical extension,strengthening the management of key engineering costruction,conducting hillside closing and protection,increasing the impact and momentum of blazing new trails in soil and water conservation mechanism,estbalishing bigger pilot areas and pushing the soil and water conservation work of the Yellow River basin into a new stage.
