Cost-effectiveness analysis of three therapeutic schemes in treatment of bronchopneumonia in children

OBJECTIVE Evaluated the cost-effectiveness of three therapeutic schemes for children pneumonia used antibiotics so as to provide references for rational use of drugs in the clinic.METHODS A random drawing to 138 cases of children pneumonia in January to June in 2009,which devided to three groups A,B and C,used Piperacillin Sodium and Sulbactam Sodium,Amoxicillin and Sulbactam,Cefuroxime,respectively.The pharmacoeconomic cost-effectiveness analysis was conducted on the three therapeutic regimens by a retrospective study,at the same time,the sensitive analysis was performed.RESULTS There is no significant differences in three therapeutic schemes(P0.05),the effective rates of schemes were 94.12%,95.56%and 95.23%,respectively;the total costs for the three schemes were 1473.68 yuan,1736.93 yuan and 1774.56 yuan,respectively.The incremental costs for increase of each percentage of the effective were 15.66 yuan,18.18 yuan and 18.63 yuan,respectively.CONCLUSION Therapeutic regimen A is the most reasonable for children pneumonia.
