Abstract
The shock of western strong sports culture and the weakness of Chinese traditional sports culture beliefs caused a dispute of whether the traditional sports should be modernized or not.This article analyzed the history and current situation of the nation's traditional sport,put forward the following opinions: The development of traditional sports needs a correct ideological understanding and only innovation was the right way of the national traditional sports' development.Being conservative can only make national traditional sports culture extinct.Only maintaining the traditional sports national characteristics and keep learning from world sports culture constantly did the national traditional sports develop better.
