Abstract

The synthesis of dibutyl phthalate(DBP) was made from the reaction between n-butanol and phthalic with molybdovanado-phosphoric heteropoly acids as catalyst. The influential factors of reaction were investigated and the optimized conditions were drawn through orthogonal experiment:molar ratio of n-butyl alcohol to phthalic anhydride was 1∶2.4;temperature is 120 ℃;Catalyst's weight was 3 % of phthalic anhydride's weight, and reaction time was 2 h.The yield of DBP is about 94.20%.
