Abstract
Objective To study the value of p63,34βE12 immunostaining in the diagnosis of prostate lesion. Methods By the S-p immunohistochemical method, we detected the expression of p63,34βE12 in 104 cases of different prostate lesions. Results In 3 groups of benign prostate lesions except the group of prostate cancer,p63,34βE12 were positive expression in basal cells, but positive rate of p63 was higher than 34βE12 .p63 was negative but 34βE12 was false positive in prostate cancer. Conclusion Through the observation of different prostate lesions, whether the existence of basal cells of glands or not is an important discriminate of prostate benign and malignant lesions.p63,34βE12 were basal cell-specific marker, but p63 is more sensitive and is the first antibody of prostate cancer. It would be more farorable if the p63,34βE12 are applied at the same time.
