Abstract

This thesis analyzes Tao Yuanming' Back to Country Life(I) and Wordsworth's Tintern Abbey,and compares the two poets' different views on nature.It points out that they both express their disappointment about the society and the joy after returning to nature,but they hold different views toward nature: Tao unites himself with nature and they become one,whereas Wordsworth holds nature as guidance to soul and he emphasizes the value of self.
