Abstract
The core pathogenesis of dyslipidemia is deficiencyof spleen resulting in dysfunction of transformation and transportation and adverse ascending and sinking of spleen Qi. The main pathogenicfactors are improper diet, maladjustment of work and rest, excessive emotions. Phlegmand blood stasis are both pathologicalproducts of dyslipidemia. The key pathogenesis of the causing of atherosclerosisis stagnation of phlegm and blood stasis in collateral and subcollaterals, which leads to obstructing the collaterals. The therapeutic principlecould be dealing withthe treatment of spleen, and clearing phlegm and blood stasis interiorly and softening blood vessel or collaterals exteriorly.
