Abstract

The method for the separation of baclofen enantiomers was developed using reversed phase high-performance liquid chromatography with carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin as chiral mobile phase additive. The effects of concentration of chiral additive, organic solvents(type and concentration),pH value and flow rate on the enantiomers separation was studied systematically. The best separation was obtained with methanol-acetonitrile-water(90:5:5,pH 5.95) mixed with 2.00 g/L CM-β-CD as mobile. The flow rate was 0.60 mL/min.The detection wavelength was 231 nm.The resolution of enantiomers was 1.31.The method was simple and fast with small relative standard deviations.
