Abstract

In the Eastern Jin Dynasty,a hereditary city system for aristocrats had gradually came into being when aristocrats were at the summit of their power combined with the great influence exerted by hereditary county system of Wu Country in the Dynasty of Three Kingdoms.Aristocrats occupied different cities respectively after competing with each other based on their own strength.All aristocrats focused on the ruling rights without exception despite that they adjusted their practice in light of their ever-changing influence and strength.The nature of the ruling practice was that the aristocrats engineered politics of the times and shared different benefits according to their strength,which was a reflection of continuation of this ruling system and one of distinctive characteristics of aristocratic politics of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
