Speed up the Joint Development of Ningbo Port and Zhoushan Port

The paper examines the promoting function of joint development of Ningbo Port and Zhoushan Port on improving competitive strength of the two ports, forming of Shanghai international shipping center and developing the regional economy. It then analyzes the current problems the two ports in production, utility of resources and planning and suggests that joint development of the two ports should be speeded up. After exploring the advantages and basis for joint development of the two ports, it proposes the targets and key points for the joint development and measures for constructing an arterial route port for international container shipping.
