This thesis will attempt to restudy the historical and cultural information embodied in Hamlet's procrastination by combing and reduction Hamlet's spirit course in the process of revenge. This thesis considers that the fundamental cause of Hamlet's procrastination lies in him could not find the justness and legitimacy for his vengeance. Hamlet's procrastination not only declared the fall of the humanist ideals on the continent in the late renaissance,but also reflected the historic limitations of humanism and the tragical plight of humanist.
