The Strategic Adjustment of Agriculture and the Structure of the Agricultural Economy in the New Period

Since the founding of the PRC,its agriculture and rural economy have undergone four stragegic adjustments,and these adjustments have intrinsic logical links.Reviewing them,we can see the historical laws behind them.Adjustment of agriculture and the rural economy entails not merely adjustment of the agricultural sector's structure;it also entails every facet of productive forces and relations.It is the adjustment of relations of production,and the liberation of forces of production.Only by starting with systemic and policy issues to undertake a comprehensive,coordinated adjustment will China's agricultural and rural problems be fundamentally resolved.
