Abstract
Stromal cell derived factor-1(SDF-1) is an important regulator of morphogenesis and chemiotaxis thatrelated to both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic stem cells. It has been recently shown that SDF-1 binding toits receptor(CXCR4) is important in mediating the migration/homing of adult stem cells, therefore plays a pivotalrole in regeneration and reparation after tissue/organ injury. Research advances of SDF-1/CXCR4 axis in the migration of adult stem cells may provide a new way to study dental pulp stem cells(DPSC) migration, especially in the bone marrow-derived stem cells.
