Abstract
Partial relation and path analysis result of yield traits and yield shows that bolls per plant, boll weight and lint percentage are the three big yield elements and among which bolls per plant contribute the most to yield, then boll weight, and then lint percentage.Partial relation and path analysis of fiber quality traits indicates that the selection of traits with high uniformity of cotton fiber, great fiber strength, low micronaire value could not only increase the spinning consistence index but also promote the cotton yield. The result of canonical relative analysis shows that increasing bolls per plant would be benefit to improve cotton yield and fiber quality, but with more bolls per plant and high proportion of late autumn bolls, side effect could be caused on lint percentage, lint index and micronaire value,so attention should be paid to the boll time and position in order to achieve good bolls.
